Located on the northwestern tip of Bali near Menjangan Island, the area is lush with green forest and clear water. The forest leads almost right up to the water and is on the tip of a relatively untouched, conserved national park.
The hotel will be built completely underwater aside from the lobby and will also double as an artificial reef. There will be holes among much of the building structure to encourage reproduction and provide and ample living space. |
Low ImpactThere won't be any damage to the environment: there will be no corals removed, no mangroves taken out, and ferries will be used to transport from the mainland to the island.
|
Education and ConservationFree tours will be given around the hotel to help educate about the different kinds of native corals and organisms that will be living in and around the artificial reefs. Conservation funds will go into building more reefs as well as raising awareness about endangered species in the area.

Local Economic Development and Respect The hotel benefit the local economy by first paying to buy the land for development, and second bringing in tourism.
It respects the environment by giving homage to marine organisms without physically bothering them. |
